Universal Marine Company, (formerly known as National Containers Company), was established in 1996 as a shareholding Company in Kuwait. The Repairs of Marine Container were necessitated in the area due to volume of container movement after the Gulf War.
Universal Marine Company is the only Container Service Depot in Kuwait dedicated to servicing the marine freight container industry.
Universal Marine Company is appointed as the Authorized Service Centre for CARRIER TRANSICOLD in 2005 and started repairs and maintenance of Reefer Container Machinery. At the end of 2006 we also become the Authorized Service Center forTHERMO KING, STAR COOL & DAIKIN. .
End of 2006 with the new Management of UMC diversified the business in marine industry and also to other Middle-East areas. UMC implemented new concepts and ideas and concentrating more on reefer business which resulted improvement in the business and now UMC became the efficient and professional service provider in the area.
UMC repairs US ARMY and all other shipping lines' Dry and Reefer Containers in Kuwait.
